Use of ECONOFROST refrigeration night covers saves energy by substantially reducing the energy consumed by the refrigerator compressors. Energy savings can be as high as 37 to 50%.

Original 5000 Series

Woven aluminum fabric perforated with tiny holes provides a breathable and effective thermal barrier for open refrigerated display cases.

6000 Series

The surface finish on the woven aluminum fabric provides additional strength and protection, and now allows silk screening. The spring and brake mechanisms are on separate ends of the unit, allowing for easier maintenance.

Security Merchandiser Covers

ECONOFROST security display case covers are lockable and are designed to prevent access to retail display cases and to provide an increased level of security for retailers, food service providers, and supermarkets. ECONOFROST night curtains reduce waste from spoilage and improve energy savings by providing an effective barrier for the refrigerated air within retail display cases. Security merchandiser covers combine the advantages of ECONOFROST with improved loss prevention, resulting in a fast pay back period. Security night curtains are also screen printable, creating highly visible advertising opportunities when deployed.

Security night covers are factory installed and are perfect for securing merchandise in areas that must remain open to the public. Electrically Operated Thermal Blinds

Although most supermarkets request manually operated refrigeration blinds, automatic electric units are also available. The automatic electric night cover unit is used mainly by commercial refrigeration OEMs who install them on new refrigeration equipment and by very large supermarkets whose refrigerated display cases were designed to have an electric thermal shield.

In most installations, several electrical night curtains can be interconnected to form a thermal barrier line of up to 100 feet or more with a separation of no more than one inch between night cover units. One motor can operate 36-48 feet of thermal shielding. Special interconnecting parts come with each electric night cover unit to adjust the thermal blinds so that they are perfectly aligned.

Electrical and manual night cover units have different components and tubing, therefore they cannot be interchanged.

It is important to note that electric night blind units do not include motors; motors must be ordered separately. The term "electrical unit" means a thermal blind unit that can be connected to a motor.
